“I had not heard of Tom Deacon until Liz said that we were meeting him next week. She explained how he was a stand up comedian and has a Radio 1 show on friday night,
“The Tom Deacon Show”. As soon as he arrived me, Keelan and Felix were already in hysterics about Chudleigh, and then found out every one of his hilarious mistakes onstage,
including kicking a microphone stand into the front row of his already rowdy crowd with a bottle of bear in his other hand.” Harlan
I had heard of Tom Deacon but i didn’t know what to expect from his visit today. As a comedian he was very funny and interesting. He told us how he got to be a comedian and how he managed to become a Radio one presenter with his own show called “The Tom Deacon Show”. (Loved his Bobble hat!). Tom also talked about some of his shows were things had gone wrong while he was on stage, e.g. Kicking the microphone stand into the audience. Felix, Keelan and Harlan were all pissing in their pants from laughing so much before and all the way through the “conversation”. Felix had found tampons and ‘Chudleigh’ somehow very amusing. As he Exited the room, the last thing he said to Felix was “Bye Justin Beiber look alike (: ! “. Georgie

“i haven’t heard of him before as a comedian, all i was told was that he was a radio presenter. He was terribly funny and not what i was expecting. Tom really did have a good in pact from the start, he got on really well and hopefully we didn’t scare him too much. We asked lots of questions about how he started and what he liked at school. Obviously we knew he would have said drama but it was interesting to hear about other aspects of his school life. Also what interested me is that he went to Exeter university. The fact that there are different styles of comedy was quite interesting. Tom then went on about where he played and that one of the ones that went wrong was in Chudleigh. This made the guys of the group laugh for some odd reason. He also told us that he managed at one of his gigs to kick a mic stand into the audience, which made everyone laugh. He told us that he gets called a skater even though he has in fact not skated in his life. It was really helpful by the way he gave us tips for job applications and to make it different. I also found the fact that he has worked with so many well known comedians and met some really famous people was really exciting. I am really upset that i can not go and see his gig tonight but will be looking out for any of his gigs in the future!” Emily
